a collection of unique pieces born from encounters with materials.
Using diamonds carefully selected by patchouli's buyer,
we crafted them into rings of the Unite design, one of the series.

Unite
A design crafted to seamlessly unite the loose stone set at the top with the body.
A frame is made to match the pavilion, which is the bottom part of the loose stone,
and the metal is hammered and stretched to hold the stone from both sides.
While having a seamless and familiar detail,
it also shows a strong presence due to the powerful sparkle of the diamond.

Last year, when I visited Jaipur, India, I encountered
rose-cut brown diamonds.
Normally, the domed rose-cut face would be presented as the front,
but during discussions with simmon's designer,
we agreed that the flat bottom surface was somehow more appealing.
So, we decided to make the ring with the flat face at the front.
Utilizing the rough cut of the deep brown diamond, we gave it a matte, natural finish.
To make it delicate, we aimed for a slim width, about 1.6mm.
For this yellow diamond, which has a strong sparkle,
a polished white gold finish seemed best to enhance its brilliance.
We also decided on a delicate line for this one, and so on.
These are the jewels that were created after such detailed discussions.
Each item is carefully selected, designed,
and the metal chosen, with meticulous attention to detail even in the final setting and finishing.
